Our dual-stage hydraulic power packs for flow and pressure control are designed to handle two different flow and pressure levels in order to optimise both the speed and force of the hydraulic action to meet operational requirements.

Ideal for applications requiring fast flow at low pressure followed by a higher pressure stage, they guarantee the power required to perform complex work efficiently and accurately.

Main features

Dual-stage flow

In the first stage, the power pack delivers a high flow rate and low pressure, ensuring fast-flowing hydraulic fluid. This stage is useful for initial operations where not much force is required, such as rapid positioning of actuators.
In the second stage, the flow rate reduces but the pressure increases, allowing the control unit to deliver high power. This is excellent for operations requiring high pressure, such as clamping, lifting heavy loads, or pressing.

Operating efficiency

The system optimises energy consumption by automatically adjusting flow rate and pressure according to the processing required, reducing waste and increasing process efficiency.

Two-stage pump

The dual-stage power pack generally uses a two-stage pump, which may be either a gear/piston or a vane/piston model. This pump is designed to switch seamlessly between high flow/low pressure mode and low flow/high pressure mode.

Automatic switching valve

Dual-stage power packs include an HVD16 switching valve that automatically switches from high flow to high pressure mode when the system detects an increase in resistance or load on the actuator.

Versatility

These power packs are suitable for various industrial applications, such as hydraulic presses, hoists, metal cutting and bending machines, extrusion systems, and any other application that requires combined speed and power.

Less susceptible to overheating

As the power pack only uses the power required for the processing in hand, the risk of the hydraulic system overheating is much lower, lengthening the components' service life.

These hydraulic power packs feature a hydraulic pump with pistons positioned radially around the central axis, forming a star-shaped structure.

This kind of setup allows high pressure levels and great reliability, making the power packs ideal for applications requiring considerable power and precision.

Main features

Radial piston pump

Radial piston hydraulic pumps feature pistons that move radially to the central pump body. This design enables the pump to suck in and compress hydraulic fluid in order to generate very high pressures (700 bar and above).

High pressure

Hydraulic power packs with radial piston pumps are designed for applications where high pressure is essential. This makes them ideal for industries such as metalworking, where metal forming, shaping, and moulding machines require pressure of this kind.

High volumetric efficiency

Due to their optimised piston configuration, these power packs offer high volumetric efficiency, which minimises volume losses during the compression and release cycle. This results in greater energy efficiency and consistent performance even in harsh operating conditions.

Low noise

As radial piston pumps are well balanced, they tend to generate less vibration and noise than other pump types. This feature is particularly advantageous in industrial environments where noise levels must be kept low.
